The University of Exeter MA students studying international film business have collaborated with smaller venues in Exmouth to bring you 3 amazing pop up cinema events as part of the Exmouth Film Festival 2023.

HOME: A Piece of Us
Sunday November 26th
6:00-7:30pm | Venue: Exmouth Town football Club, 19 Southern Rd, Exmouth EX8 3EE
What does “Home” mean to you? We all have our own unique interpretation of “Home”, spanning from a physical place to a person, an emotion, a fragrance, or even the comfort of familiar foods. It represents a piece of ourselves that we carry with us. We have selected five short films from around the world around the theme of “Home”. Additionally, we will have interactive hands-on activities for everyone to enjoy. Through this curation, we’re excited to present a myriad of unique perspectives of “Home”, and also invite you to share your definition of “Home”. We’re looking forward to meeting you all!
Doors open at 5:30pm to enjoy light refreshments and pastries.

Through Different Eyes and Ears
Monday 27th November
6:30pm | Venue: Exmouth Library , 40 Exeter Road EX8 1PS
This program invites the audience to experience an unconventional way of viewing cinema! This is an immersive viewing experience, highlighting and altering the sensory experience of award-winning cinema. A selection of short films will invite the audience to experience films exclusively through their sense of sight or hearing. Other short films will also be shown with the audience’s full range of senses. Discussions within and after the program will evoke thoughts about how cinema is interpreted when senses are blocked. At the end of the program, a facilitated conversation will be conducted to highlight accessibility for the hearing impaired with regards to cinema going and the ways in which the hearing audience can get involved. We are working to have a partner come facilitate this conversation and promote advocacy regarding deaf accessibility.
